Correction of breast asymmetry
Most women have some breast asymmetry, but when it's more pronounced, it can affect your confidence and comfort.
You might find it difficult to wear the clothes or swimwear you like, and it can affect how you see yourself, which can impact your relationships.
Breast asymmetry can develop during puberty or after surgery, pregnancy, or weight changes. It may involve discrepancies in the size, shape, or position of your breasts, as well as nipple asymmetry.
We can use a variety of techniques to balance your breasts:
-
Breast reduction: reduces and uplifts one or both breasts, often with a different amount of tissue taken from each breast.
-
Breast augmentation: enlarges one or both breasts using implants, which can be different sizes and shapes if needed.
-
Breast uplift (mastopexy): uplifts one or both breasts to correct differences in shape.
-
Fat transfer: increases the volume of one or both breasts and can be used to sculpt their shape.
-
Areolar reduction: reduces the size of the dark area around the nipple.
In complex cases, surgery may need to be performed in two stages to achieve the best result.
To help you decide which treatment option is best for you, I’ll spend time in clinic with you to understand your goals and discuss the options available.
