Direct brow lift
Over time, your eyebrows can droop, and this can give you a tired and aged appearance. In some cases, sagging brows (brow ptosis) can even impair your vision, especially if you also have excess upper eyelid skin.
A direct brow lift involves removing a small strip of skin above your eyebrows to lift them into a more youthful position, which softens your expression and gives you a more refreshed appearance.
The operation is usually done under local anaesthetic and you can go home the same day.
The main advantages of a direct brow lift are that it allows for very precise control over how much your brows are lifted, and it is also simpler and less invasive than other brow lift techniques (such as endoscopic or hairline brow lifts). It does, however, result in a scar at the upper border of your brows, so it is best for patients with full or bushy eyebrows, which can help to conceal the scars.
Direct brow lift is often combined with an upper blepharoplasty (eyelid lift) for patients with hooding of their upper eyelids.
